Study shows Ginseng Delays Parkinson’s Onset
Ginseng happens to be one of the most potent Chinese herbs that has a lot of medicinal benefits. According to Chen et.al (2007) the two main ingredients found in Ginseng Tea are Rb1 and Rg1, and are also responsible for the health benefits that one receives from drinking Ginseng. Chen et.al studied the effects of Ginseng tea in an effort to find out if Ginseng would be useful for the treatment of diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, and for the protection of Dopaminergic Neurons, which are crucial because the degeneration of these neurons would start the onset of Parkinson’s. Ginseng Tea can actually help patients through oral treatment with moderate and mild Alzheimer’s disease. It also stimulates and strengthens our nervous system, and during stressful situations, drinking Ginseng Tea can help a person calm down and relax.
Athletes also have much to gain by drinking Ginseng Tea, because they expend a lot of energy as they train, and as they train their bodies release adrenalin. The more adrenalin they release, the more cortisone hormones are also released, which can be harmful to the body. Too much cortisone hormones in the body can trigger the onset of Cushing’s syndrome and upper respiratory tract infections.
Ginseng Tea is also beneficial for women who are experiencing menopausal symptoms. These symptoms include a feeling of restlessness and “hot flushes.” Drinking Ginseng can counter the effects of menopause, as Ginseng tea has its calming and relaxing properties.
