Herbal Tea Preparation
Tea has been the favorite of many nations. Although tea had been identified with the Chinese Emperor, who discovered it 4000 years way back, there are already many concoctions on how to prepare a tea.
Green tea based on the research of Eiki Satoh, Naoki Tohyama and Masakazu Nishimura of Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, they studied how green tea works in the body.
Preparation of water extracts from teas
This will serve 20 people, and is usually served during meal times.
Prepare ninety grams of dry leaves boiled in nine hundred milliliters of water for one hour. The tea drink should be filtered using a filter paper, preferably use the England Brand No. 2 Maidstone, Whatman. Serve hot.
Their study green tea is successful as an anti – oxidant because from the tea drink inhibited the “AAPH – induced lipid oxidation in erythrocyte membranes “. Green teas are effective among the black, oolong and roasted tea, though basically the three also has the same effect but not as much as Green tea.
Green Tea is best the best aperitif in the morning during breakfast served hot. Usually it is served with pure honey or sugar. Some opt to mix it with fresh milk which is usually done in Great Britain and Japan, serve hot.
In the afternoon, a green tea is also advisable after lunch, because it is an effective anti-oxidant. Some prefers to drink tea in the evening, after a heavy meal, so help in digestion.
A common concoction of a green tea is when it is mixed it with lemon, and served cold during snack time. It is usually served with cookies. Some prefer an afternoon hot tea with milk. Green tea is also mixed with weight loss drinks because of its capacity to help in weight loss.
